What you will do

• Lead hiring, onboarding, and performance management for the underwriting team.
• Manage team workload and pipeline to ensure high performance and consistency.
• Develop and implement underwriting policies and procedures.
• Analyze performance data to identify patterns and drive accountability through KPIs.
• Act as the primary liaison between Underwriting and Processing to resolve friction points.
• Lead departmental projects from ideation to execution.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in residential loan underwriting.
• Proven experience leading high-performing teams.
• Strong history of project management from ideation to execution.
• Ability to evaluate risk-based decisions and maintain consistent quality standards.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in constructive feedback and communication.
• Ability to make data-driven decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience working with Home Equity Investments (HEIs).
