Lead Data Engineer (AI)

Location: Washington, D.C. (Hybrid: 2-3 days onsite required)

What you will do

• Independently manage multiple complex work assignments and lead major technology projects.
• Develop new features, enhancements, and bug fixes for both legacy and existing systems.
• Build integration features to allow successor systems to co-exist with older legacy systems.
• Act as a technical expert across multiple project assignments and supervise other team members.
• Evaluate performance results and recommend strategic changes for project growth and success.

Requirements

• Must maintain an active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly or be eligible for a poly.
• Bachelor's degree with 14+ years or Master's degree with 12+ years of experience in application or software development.
• Proficiency in Node.js with TypeScript, SQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
• Experience with Angular and NestJS.
• Experience with Docker containers and/or Red Hat OpenShift.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Washington, D.C. for 2-3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with Open AI or other AI technologies.
• Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, SharePoint, XML, VBAs, Oracle, MongoDB, or Solr.
• Experience using automated testing tools for maintenance and testing.
