Salary: $90,000 – $115,000 USD

What you will do

• Build ML models and execute active learning workflows for materials informatics.
• Lead and manage the technical aspects of funded research programs.
• Collaborate with universities, national labs, and industrial partners.
• Develop responses to RFPs and explore new research funding opportunities.
• Publish peer-reviewed journal articles, case studies, and blog posts.
• Present research findings at technical conferences and workshops.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in materials science, chemistry, or equivalent experience.
• U.S. Citizenship is strictly required due to government contract obligations.
• Proven experience with ML, statistical modeling, and AI applied to chemistry or materials.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience authoring peer-reviewed scientific publications.
• Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments.

Nice to have

• Experience responding to government RFPs.
• Expertise in magnetic materials, catalysts, or metal additive manufacturing.
• Willingness to travel (less than 10%).
