TL;DR
Distinguished Engineer, ASIC (Hardware): Designing and implementing digital signal processing, high-speed interfaces, and system-on-a-chip logic for next-generation medical imaging products with an accent on RTL ownership, PPA tradeoffs, and timing closure. Focus on architecting high-throughput digital datapaths, implementing silicon-proven architectures, and collaborating cross-functionally to close chip-level requirements.
Location: Hybrid; Must be based in the US (SF Bay Area or Burlington, MA)

What you will do
- Design, implement, and verify DSP, high-speed interfaces, and SoC logic for next-generation products.
- Own complex digital IC subsystems from architecture and PPA tradeoffs through RTL implementation and tapeout handoff.
- Develop silicon-proven digital architectures using SystemVerilog/Verilog, including pipelined datapaths and state machines.
- Architect sustained high-throughput digital datapaths, including buffering, arbitration, and memory hierarchy design.
- Collaborate with verification, analog, systems, and packaging teams to resolve functional issues and close chip-level requirements.
Requirements
- BS/MS/PhD in EE/CE/CS or equivalent practical tapeout experience.
- 8–12+ years of experience in digital IC / ASIC / SoC design with significant hands-on RTL ownership.
- Strong understanding of timing closure, clock/reset domain architecture, and power-aware design.
- Experience working with advanced technology nodes (28nm or smaller).
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
Nice to have
- Experience implementing compute-intensive digital pipelines (DSP, beamforming, AI, or vector datapaths).
- Exposure to medical imaging or ultrasound systems.
- Experience designing or integrating programmable digital compute blocks like AI accelerators, MPUs, or eFPGA fabrics.
