What you will do

• Manage and mentor 8-12 engineers, overseeing career development and performance management.
• Lead the people, delivery, and processes for data teams.
• Own end-to-end delivery of programs, ensuring alignment with business priorities and quality expectations.
• Champion and refine AI-first engineering practices within the team.
• Collaborate with Product and commercial teams to ensure delivery goals are efficient and aligned.
• Use metrics to identify opportunities for improving delivery velocity, system reliability, and developer experience.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading high-performing engineering teams and managing performance across multiple levels.
• Previous delivery responsibility within a commercially focused data function (warehousing, analytics, integrations).
• Solid technical background with a strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience working in Agile environments and using metrics to guide team improvements.
• Must have the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data science.
