What you will do

• Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and data analysis to gather insights from end-users and stakeholders.
• Create wireframes, storyboards, process flows, and interactive prototypes to visualize solutions for system features.
• Define and maintain Design System components, libraries, and patterns to ensure visual consistency across projects.
• Perform usability testing and accessibility audits to ensure compliance with Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
• Collaborate with SCRUM teams and federal Product Owners within a SAFe framework to iterate on designs.
• Mentor teams on UX-related topics and contribute to the continuous improvement of DesignOps processes.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of applicable UX design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD for wireframing and prototyping.
• Expertise in user-centered design (UCD) processes and accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG).
• Familiarity with front-end technologies including HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Angular, and Bootstrap.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability Determination.

Nice to have

• Experience with federal government contracts, FAR regulations, and ATO processes.
• Certifications in UX/UI (e.g., Nielsen Norman Group), Agile (e.g., CSM), or accessibility (e.g., IAAP CPACC).
• Background in content-heavy enterprise systems and advanced DesignOps practices.
