Agile Process SME (Scrum Master): Facilitating team-level Agile ceremonies and processes within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment for a federal technology modernization program with an accent on impediment resolution, backlog refinement, and cross-team dependency management. Focus on coaching engineering teams, maintaining Agile metrics, and ensuring transparency in Jira and Confluence to support high-performance delivery.

What you will do

• Coordinate and manage standard Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Identify and resolve team-level impediments, escalating to program leadership when necessary.
• Partner with the federal Product Owner on backlog refinement, prioritization, and roadmap maintenance.
• Maintain team-level Agile metrics such as velocity, flow, and defect rates to ensure project transparency.
• Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile roles, behaviors, and SAFe practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leads including UX, Accessibility, and QA to align sprint goals.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability Determination.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Scrum Master on delivery teams.
• Active Scrum certification (CSM, PSM, or SSM).
• Hands-on experience operating within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for Agile delivery and reporting.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting federal government clients.
• SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certification.
• Experience coaching software engineering teams (backend, frontend, QA, UX).
• Experience with Kanban practices or Scrum/Kanban hybrids.
