Staff / Principal Research Scientist (AI)

hirify.global is a research lab and inference provider building realtime AI models, serving infrastructure, and modular APIs for high-volume consumer applications.

What you will do

• Research and develop foundation models, agentic systems, and other frontier AI capabilities.
• Design and run experiments covering architectures, reinforcement learning, reward modeling, scaling, and test-time compute.
• Build evaluation benchmarks, evaluation loops, quality measurements, and failure-analysis methods.
• Own research end to end, from framing questions and running experiments to writing papers and shipping results.
• Collaborate with US-based leadership and engineering teams to bring research into realtime consumer applications.

Requirements

• Strong practical experience with foundation models, evaluation, agents, multimodal models, tool use, or related frontier topics.
• Published research at venues such as ICML, ICLR, NeurIPS, EMNLP, ACL, or AAAI, or equivalent evidence from practical work.
• PhD in machine learning or NLP, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated public work through substantial AI projects, interdisciplinary experiments, or open-source contributions.
• Professional fluency in English, written and spoken, is required.
• Must already have the legal right to work in Switzerland; visa sponsorship is not available.
