TL;DR

RF/DSP Engineer (AI): Building the digital signal processing foundation for an open-ocean RF sensing platform with an accent on algorithm architecture, geolocation, and edge compute optimization. Focus on designing end-to-end DSP pipelines, implementing signal detection primitives for ML integration, and optimizing performance for embedded hardware.

Location: Hybrid (Arlington, VA; Boston, MA; or San Francisco, CA). Must be eligible for an active Secret clearance.

What you will do

  • Design and implement end-to-end DSP pipelines from raw IQ ingestion to feature extraction.
  • Develop and validate multi-sensor RF geolocation algorithms.
  • Build signal detection, framing, and classification primitives for downstream ML pipelines.
  • Write optimized C/C++ code for embedded processors and FPGA environments.
  • Profile and optimize algorithms for latency, throughput, and power constraints.
  • Define data interfaces and transport protocols between edge and cloud layers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing, or Applied Mathematics.
  • 5+ years of hands-on DSP algorithm development for RF applications.
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ for performance-critical, embedded systems.
  • Deep understanding of spectral analysis, digital filtering, and coherent signal processing.
  • Experience with software-defined radio platforms and IQ data workflows.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain an active Secret clearance.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with FPGA DSP pipelines (HLS, IP cores, or HDL).
  • Experience building DSP pipelines for maritime RF signals.
