What you will do

• Lead and coordinate the launch of new site deployments for autonomous vehicle services.
• Manage the on-site configuration and deployment of autonomous technology in new locations.
• Scout locations to identify and resolve technical challenges associated with specific traffic environments.
• Serve as the technical company representative to customers and the general public.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineers to expand system capabilities and improve the rider experience.
• Mentor junior Field Autonomy Engineers to support their professional growth and development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing mechanical and electrical hardware or developing software.
• Working knowledge of C, C++, Python, Java, or similar programming languages.
• Experience with mobile robotics or autonomous vehicles and proficiency in Linux environments.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to travel up to 50%.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
• Advanced experience designing and developing software in C, C++, and/or Python environments.
