What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain bare-metal server and storage infrastructure for global trading environments.
• Manage Linux platform configurations and RPM package deployment using Salt.
• Act as a primary technical responder for P1/P2 infrastructure incidents, leading triage and root cause analysis.
• Optimize low-latency bare-metal infrastructure, including kernel-bypass networking stacks (Solarflare/Onload).
• Develop and deploy automation solutions for system health and self-remediation using Python and Shell.
• Create observability dashboards using Prometheus and Grafana to monitor platform health and capacity.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing large 24x7 enterprise environments with hundreds of servers.
• Deep understanding of the Linux Kernel, specifically scheduling, networking, and I/O.
• Proficiency in configuration management (Salt/Puppet) and automation via Python and Shell.
• Experience with bare-metal infrastructure and storage systems (SAN/NAS, NVMe, RAID).
• English: Fluency in written and verbal communication required.
• Location: Must be based in Singapore; availability for on-call rotations and shift work (starting as early as 7AM SGT, potentially Wed-Sun) is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency with IaC tooling such as Terraform.
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
