What you will do

• Improve page loading experiences through modularization of the client codebase and optimizing lazy loading or caching.
• Reduce interaction latency by making components and the broader codebase more lightweight and efficient.
• Define best practices and build developer tooling to help web engineers develop product features with higher confidence.
• Lead projects aimed at reducing the time to render and interact with hirify.global pages across the application.
• Build frameworks that empower product engineers to deliver high-quality user experiences faster.

Requirements

• 8-10+ years of experience building and optimizing large web applications in React or similar frameworks.
• Proven track record of improving real-user performance metrics at scale, from page load to post-load interactivity.
• Strong expertise in modern bundling and build tooling (e.g., Webpack) and performance profiling.
• Strong systems thinking with the ability to design abstractions and guardrails for multiple teams.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid from San Francisco or New York.

Nice to have

• Experience with modularizing large monorepos and reducing cyclic dependencies to improve build times.
• Familiarity with design systems, component performance, accessibility, and ergonomics.
