What you will do

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify and address emotional, financial, and spiritual needs.
• Connect patients and families with critical community resources to resolve complex social needs.
• Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and specialists to ensure coordinated care and remove treatment barriers.
• Advocate for patients with insurance companies and healthcare providers to access necessary services.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention for sudden changes in prognosis or end-of-life decisions.
• Lead support groups and provide education on cancer-related topics.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work from a CSWE accredited program.
• Valid and current master’s level license (LMSW, LISW, LCSW) in the practice state.
• 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare setting; experience in oncology, palliative, or hospice care is highly desired.
• Ability to work the shift 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM EST.
• Proficiency with technology including Google Suite, Slack, EHR, and video conferencing tools.

Nice to have

• OSW-C or APHSW-C certifications.
• Prior experience working at a startup or tech-forward company.
