What you will do

• Create comprehensive customer-facing technical documentation for electromechanical and electronic access control hardware.
• Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to translate complex technical information into user-friendly guides.
• Develop and manage documentation schedules aligned with new product introductions.
• Generate animated renderings and promotional graphics to support product visualization and digital marketing.
• Utilize publishing and commercialization software to produce high-quality documentation.
• Coordinate with external vendors to manage static and animated graphical elements.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience as a technical writer (preferred).
• Experience with technical illustration and graphical modeling.
• Proficiency using XML tools for documentation.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in New Haven or Berlin, CT.

Nice to have

• ASEE/ASET or equivalent electronic certification.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Visio.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator).
• Familiarity with SolidWorks and rendering software like KeyShot.
