What you will do

• Develop and maintain user manuals, system operation procedures (SOPs), and interface control documents (ICDs).
• Collaborate with engineers and technical leads to translate complex technical concepts into accessible documentation.
• Establish documentation frameworks and best practices to ensure content consistency and organization.
• Tailor documentation to suit different audiences, including engineers, developers, and end-users.
• Review and proofread technical materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to DoD standards.

Requirements

• US Citizenship and Active Secret Clearance are mandatory.
• 3-5 years of experience as a technical writer in an engineering or technical field.
• Strong knowledge of DoD terminology and documentation standards (e.g., MIL-STD, DoD 5000 series).
• Proficiency with Adobe FrameMaker, XML-based editors, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communication, or a related field.
• Ability to write content based on engineering drawings and design specifications.
