Salary: $100,000 - $120,000

What you will do

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system user guides, SOPs, configuration documents, and release notes.
• Translate complex technical data from engineers, developers, and cybersecurity personnel into clear, user-friendly content.
• Support documentation updates for system enhancements and capabilities tied to the LADS modernization roadmap.
• Ensure strict compliance with NIWC Atlantic standards, style guides, and security requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software development, data engineering, and government stakeholders.
• Maintain version control and recommend improvements for documentation standards and templates.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.
• 3+ years of experience as a Technical Writer supporting IT, analytics, or software development programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience supporting DoD, Navy, or government programs.
• Proficiency with documentation tools such as Microsoft Office, Confluence, and SharePoint.

Nice to have

• Active DoD security clearance (Secret or higher).
• Familiarity with NIWC Atlantic processes or Navy logistics systems.
• Experience documenting software architectures, data workflows, or cloud-based solutions.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum environments and iterative development cycles.
• Experience with graphics tools for diagrams such as Visio or Draw.io.
