Location: Must be based in State College, PA, or remote within the state of Pennsylvania with regular travel to State College for the first 6 months.

What you will do

• Design and implement technical controls and guardrails for enterprise AI usage, including LLM-based tools, APIs, and plugins.
• Build secure pipelines and integrations for AI tools, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Lead technical due diligence of third-party AI tools, LLM providers, and embedded AI features in software products.
• Translate ISO/IEC 42001 and NIST AI RMF controls into practical technical specifications and system implementations.
• Serve as a technical advisor to product, engineering, and business teams deploying AI capabilities.
• Implement monitoring mechanisms for AI system usage and support AI Impact Assessments (AIIAs).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in AI/ML systems, security engineering, or technical risk/compliance roles.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic), API integrations, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of AI/ML system architecture, data security, and secure design principles.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating or governing ChatGPT Enterprise or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with AI risk frameworks such as ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF, or ISO/IEC 23894.
• Background in application security, DevSecOps, or ML engineering.
• Certifications in cloud, security, or AI (e.g., AWS, Azure AI, CISSP).
