What you will do

• Manage all phases of datacenter installation projects under the guidance of supervision.
• Install, troubleshoot, resolve, and repair fiber optic systems to ensure seamless connectivity.
• Perform fiber splicing and rectify problem areas in the network.
• Monitor and maintain signal strength across different devices.
• Develop sensor indicators, conduct inspections, and maintain system records and designs.

Requirements

• 1+ years of direct data center experience installing and routing optical fiber in large scale Tier 3 or 4 facilities.
• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• Physical dexterity and ability to lift up to 35lbs unassisted.
• Comfortable working at elevated heights (up to 50 feet) and in noisy environments.
• Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends.

Nice to have

• Certification in fiber optics and/or cable installation.
• Extensive experience in fiber splicing.
• Technical knowledge of communication networks and electronic systems.
• Experience installing, certifying, and troubleshooting fiber in hyperscale data center environments.
• Experience installing structured cabling.
