What you will do
- Manage the stability, security, and availability of global enterprise network environments including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, and cloud.
- Lead, coach, and prioritize tasks for a team of network engineers.
- Act as the primary escalation point for high-severity network incidents, coordinating root cause analysis and service restoration.
- Partner with Information Security to manage firewall policies, network segmentation, and secure architecture.
- Oversee network capacity planning, hardware/software lifecycle refreshes, and redundancy improvements.
- Enhance monitoring and observability practices using SolarWinds, LogicMonitor, and Wireshark.
Requirements
- Must be based in Austin, TX as the site lead.
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering and 5+ years in technical team leadership.
- Hands-on expertise with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and Layer 2/3 network design.
- Experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Cisco Meraki wireless solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field and CCNP certification or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts, specifically within AWS.
Nice to have
- Expert-level certifications such as CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE, or PCNSE.
- AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty or Solutions Architect Professional.
- ITIL Foundation v3/v4 certification.
- Experience working in HIPAA-regulated biotech, pharma, or healthcare environments.
