What you will do

• Own end-to-end grinding and polishing processes, optimizing parameters for removal rate and stability.
• Manage polishing performance, including pad behavior, slurry delivery, and subsurface damage removal.
• Establish robust process controls using JMP or Minitab to monitor variation and stability risks.
• Lead structured Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to eliminate sources of variation impacting yield.
• Drive 6P readiness for all process, material, or equipment changes.
• Evaluate and integrate advanced metrology and next-gen consumable technologies.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical, Optical, Materials, or a related engineering field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in optical fabrication, precision machining, grinding, or polishing.
• Proficiency with interferometry, profilometry, and surface inspection tools.
• Experience using JMP, Minitab, or equivalent statistical software.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without employer sponsorship.
• Must be eligible to access controlled technology under US Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
