What you will do

• Translate optical sensing concepts into industrial photonic solutions.
• Define requirements, architecture, and technology roadmaps for photonics.
• Design and specify photonic integrated circuits (PICs).
• Define and execute experiments to evaluate PIC performance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external research partners.
• Generate and document innovative ideas for future technology development.

Requirements

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Applied Physics.
• 4+ years of experience in integrated photonics.
• Proficiency in numerical modeling tools like Lumerical (FDTD, EME, FEM).
• Experience with PIC design, specification, and experimental evaluation.
• Experience interacting with foundries for PIC manufacturing.
• Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology under US Export Administration Regulations.
