What you will do

• Provide architectural guidance to development teams, Team Leads, and Product Managers.
• Align technical initiatives with the overall vision and participate in high-level design reviews.
• Identify and plan refactoring activities to address technical debt, performance, and security.
• Define and monitor non-functional requirements (KPIs) to ensure system reliability and availability.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to standardize integration patterns and data storage.
• Mentor and lead junior team members in technical decision-making and system design.

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in building high-scale applications and RESTful services.
• Strong experience with microservices and tools such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Deep knowledge of SQL and NoSQL datastores and the ability to select technology based on requirements.
• Proficiency in architectural patterns for High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and Security.
• Must be based in or able to work from Malta

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud architectures, deployment, and operations.
