What you will do

• Own the end-to-end application architecture for the Guardian Investigate product, including microservices and frontend components.
• Ensure seamless integration with the hirify.global SaaS Platform, adhering to standards for authentication, authorization, and data integrity.
• Design scalable systems capable of handling petabyte-scale evidence and high concurrent user traffic.
• Drive technical direction through design reviews, ADRs, and mentorship of engineering teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud costs and infrastructure efficiency.
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies, including AI-assisted development tools, to improve engineering productivity.

Requirements

• 8+ years in software engineering with at least 3 years in an architecture or tech lead role spanning multiple teams.
• 4+ years of hands-on AWS experience, including EKS, Aurora, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
• 4+ years designing microservices architectures at scale.
• Strong backend engineering background with production experience in PostgreSQL, search engines, and event-driven messaging (Kafka).
• Experience building applications on a shared SaaS platform with a deep understanding of tenant isolation and data separation.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kotlin/JVM (Ktor) and Node.js/TypeScript.
• Background in digital forensics, cyber security, or law enforcement domains.
• Knowledge of FinOps and large-scale tenant migration strategies.
• Experience with hybrid, on-prem, or air-gapped deployments.
