Trust & Safety Intern

TL;DR

Trust & Safety Intern (Legal/Risk): Supporting platform integrity through third-party screenings, investigations, and risk mitigation with an accent on KYC/KYP and fraud detection. Focus on conducting due diligence using OSINT and maintaining the Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) framework.

Location: Must be based in or be able to move to Madrid, Spain (Hybrid)

What you will do

• Assist in the creation and refinement of team policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Conduct comprehensive research on partners to identify and respond to Trust & Safety violations.
• Perform KYC (Know Your Customer) and KYP (Know Your Partner) checks to verify entity legitimacy.
• Support the maintenance of Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) tools and databases.
• Prepare detailed investigative reports and present findings to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams to detect fraud and abuse patterns using OSINT and data analysis.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a postgraduate/Master’s program in Security, Criminology or a related field in Spain.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Madrid, Spain.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex information and identify risks.
• Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with total integrity.

• Academic knowledge of due diligence, KYC/KYP processes, or OSINT.
