What you will do

• Art direct illustrations and provide timely feedback and paint-overs to ensure high-quality final assets.
• Prepare and implement game-ready assets utilizing the Unity game engine.
• Collaborate with the design team to prepare art assignments for external art teams.
• Onboard new external artists and provide guided direction to maintain the visual representation of Hearthstone.
• Tackle day-to-day requests and resolve in-game bugs as they arise.
• Facilitate the review process with stakeholders to finalize in-game assets.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US or eligible for relocation
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in professional game development.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience with game engines (e.g., Unity).
• Strong illustrative capability to create and direct art that meets design and technical requirements.
• Deep understanding of Hearthstone’s visual style and the Warcraft IP.
• Portfolio demonstrating relevant artistic skills (online submissions only).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the Warcraft Universe and Hearthstone.
• Strong foundations in traditional or digital painting and illustration.
• Previous experience in game production.
