TL;DR

Principal Product Designer (Loyalty): Designing and scaling loyalty experiences for Expedia brands with an accent on reward systems and long-term traveler engagement. Focus on solving complex product challenges, building a scalable design system, and translating user research into high-impact UX solutions.

Location: Must be based in one of the following US cities: New York, Dallas, Chicago, Austin, Los Angeles, San Jose, San Francisco, or Seattle.

Salary: $208,000 – $338,500 (depending on location)

What you will do

  • Tackle complex product challenges to create rewarding customer experiences for millions of travelers.
  • Shape the experience strategy and roadmap, balancing immediate needs with long-term vision.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and User Research to identify opportunities and derive actionable insights.
  • Lead the creation of project artifacts for large projects and contribute to the growth of the global design system.
  • Mentor other designers and champion simple, elegant, and inclusive user interactions.
  • Partner with developers to implement designs within technical constraints and ensure scalability.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience in product design.
  • Must be based in the USA (New York, Dallas, Chicago, Austin, LA, San Jose, SF, or Seattle).
  • Experience designing for native platforms (iOS, Android) and responsive web.
  • Proven ability to present design strategy to executive leadership and secure buy-in.
  • Proficiency in facilitation, information architecture, and leading design thinking workshops.
  • A portfolio demonstrating innovative, user-centered designs for complex, global organizations.

Nice to have

  • Experience with accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1 AA standards).
  • Experience mentoring junior designers and contributing to team growth.
