Location: Los Angeles, CA. Must be a U.S. Person (ITAR compliance) and possess an Active Top Secret or Secret clearance with SAP eligibility.

Salary: $140,000 – $175,000 + equity

What you will do

• Lead RF mechanical hardware development from conceptual design through qualification to on-orbit operations.
• Drive mechanical hardware iterations using hands-on development, testing, and analysis correlation.
• Perform hardware trades to guide RF mechanical sub-system and top-level hardware direction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish product requirements and manufacturing best practices.
• Own and refine system deliverables and associated schedules throughout development and production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or a relevant engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical and/or electromechanical design and analysis.
• Proficiency with CAD/FEA software and practical application of GD&T.
• Experience designing and testing RF systems, antennas, and deployment mechanisms for aerospace applications.
• Knowledge of NASA-STD-5017, SMC-S-016, and GSFC-STD-7000 standards for in-space mechanisms.
• Active Top Secret or Secret clearance with SAP eligibility and U.S. Person status (as defined by ITAR).
