What you will do

• Partner with ML and Computational Chemistry researchers to translate scientific prototypes into robust, production-ready software systems.
• Implement and integrate core scientific algorithms, including ML, deep learning, and physics-based simulations, into scalable product platforms.
• Collaborate within multi-disciplinary pods of engineers, AI experts, and product managers to define architecture and deployment strategies.
• Ensure the scientific integrity and accuracy of research models (e.g., active learning, FEP) when deployed in production.
• Drive the entire product lifecycle from initial scientific inception to final external deployment.

Requirements

• PhD in chemistry, biology, or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience translating ML or computational chemistry research into production software in the private sector.
• Experience deploying and maintaining ML models for scientific applications (e.g., molecular property prediction).
• Proficiency with Python toolkits: NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, scikit-learn, and PyTorch.
• Must be located in Canada.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, CI/CD, containerization, and high-performance GPU environments.
• Strong interest in solving chemistry and biology problems via computational and data-driven methods.
• Track record of driving complex technical projects to completion.
