Location: Must be based in the US (Available offices in Seattle, Charlotte, Miami, Dallas, Troy, and Los Angeles)

Salary: $79,800 - $168,000

What you will do

  • Conduct research on US employment tax implications and provide strategic alternative courses of action to clients.
  • Oversee federal and state employment tax compliance, including Forms 941/940, W2, and state registrations.
  • Consult on multi-state employment tax compliance for remote and mobile workers.
  • Represent clients before employment tax authorities to resolve contested issues.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate the performance of Employment Tax Senior Associates and Associates.
  • Drive business development and identify cross-selling opportunities within the tax practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably with a focus in Accounting.
  • 5+ years of experience in employment tax, consulting, or payroll services.
  • Proven experience supervising employment tax professionals on a project or engagement basis.
  • CPA certification or Enrolled Agent (EA) status is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.

Nice to have

  • Experience with HRIS and third-party payroll platforms such as Workday, PeopleSoft, ADP, or UKG.
  • Practical experience with payroll processing and payroll operations.
  • Master's degree in Accounting/Taxation or a J.D.
