What you will do

• Lead system architecture development for ENT capital equipment and associated surgical instruments.
• Translate clinical workflows and user needs into detailed system-level functional requirements.
• Coordinate integration efforts across hardware, embedded software, firmware, and mechanical subsystems.
• Drive system-level risk management activities, including hazard analysis and FMEA per ISO 14971.
• Ensure full traceability of requirements through verification and validation phases.
• Provide technical mentorship and systems engineering guidance to cross-functional development teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline required.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant engineering experience (or 5 years with an advanced degree, 3 years with a PhD).
• Proven experience in system architecture and integration for complex, multi-disciplinary products.
• Strong understanding of medical device standards such as FDA design controls, ISO 13485, and IEC 62304.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical decision-making in cross-functional environments.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in Systems Engineering, Biomedical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with requirements management tools like Polarion, Codebeamer, or Jira.
• Prior experience in surgical systems or ENT-related technologies.
