What you will do

• Design, simulate, and lay out low-power mixed-signal ICs, including low-noise front-ends and energy-efficient ADCs.
• Collaborate with materials experts to integrate CMOS chips with flexible tactile sensor arrays (capacitive, piezoelectric, or piezoresistive).
• Manage chip tape-outs using TSMC, GlobalFoundries, or specialized BCD processes.
• Conduct electrical characterization and robotic system-level validation.
• Co-supervise PhD and Master students and publish research in top-tier journals like JSSC and ISSCC.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Microelectronics with a focus on Integrated Circuits.
• Deep understanding of MOSFET physics, amplifiers, voltage references, and frequency compensation.
• Proven experience in designing ADCs, DACs, comparators, or oscillators.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink or Verilog-A for top-level architectural verification.
• Expert-level proficiency in Cadence Virtuoso (Spectre/APS) or Mentor Graphics.
• Willingness to relocate to the Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in ultrasonic, capacitive, or resistive sensor and readout ICs.
