What you will do
- Implement processes and activities specific to various electric propulsion technologies within the Engineering department.
- Support the development, maintenance, and operational efficiency of the ESA Propulsion Laboratory (EPL).
- Review project documentation and perform engineering analysis using analytical models, numerical tools, and literature research.
- Develop and improve software models and tools to support electric propulsion engineering activities.
- Manage tests for customers and maintain the quality management system according to ISO 9001 certification.
- Contribute to technology forums and coordinate R&D activity proposals.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Engineering in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in space propulsion and instrumentation for electric propulsion systems.
- Experience with the design, installation, and operation of high-voltage electric circuits and mass flow management systems.
- Familiarity with vacuum technology, operation of vacuum facilities, and EP diagnostic systems (plasma probes, thrust measurement).
- Proficiency in measurement automation and data analysis software, such as LabVIEW.
- Eligibility to live and work in the EU.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
