What you will do

  • Implement processes and activities specific to various electric propulsion technologies within the Engineering department.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and operational efficiency of the ESA Propulsion Laboratory (EPL).
  • Review project documentation and perform engineering analysis using analytical models, numerical tools, and literature research.
  • Develop and improve software models and tools to support electric propulsion engineering activities.
  • Manage tests for customers and maintain the quality management system according to ISO 9001 certification.
  • Contribute to technology forums and coordinate R&D activity proposals.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in space propulsion and instrumentation for electric propulsion systems.
  • Experience with the design, installation, and operation of high-voltage electric circuits and mass flow management systems.
  • Familiarity with vacuum technology, operation of vacuum facilities, and EP diagnostic systems (plasma probes, thrust measurement).
  • Proficiency in measurement automation and data analysis software, such as LabVIEW.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the EU.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
