What you will do

• Act as the highest global technical authority for mechanical engineering in hydropower technologies.
• Provide strategic technical leadership in complex, high-risk, or business-critical projects.
• Shape and contribute to the long-term technology and R&D roadmap.
• Define, implement, and continuously improve global mechanical engineering standards and best practices.
• Drive innovation in areas such as flexible operation, refurbishment, and digital twins.
• Develop, coach, and mentor senior engineers and technical experts worldwide.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Hydropower Engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years of professional experience in hydropower turbine engineering.
• Fluent in English.
• Recognized expertise in at least one hydropower core technology (turbines, generators, valves).
• Strong understanding of contractual and technical risk management.
• Availability for international business travel.
