What you will do

• Lead Character Artists across multiple projects to ensure a high quality bar and a game-first approach.
• Grow the team through career development, performance reviews, and strategic hiring.
• Collaborate with Production, Directors, Tech Art, and Animation to align schedules and resolve technical challenges.
• Drive the adoption of new character art technologies, pipelines, and workflows.
• Coordinate with other Character Art Leads to unify internal and external art teams.
• Maintain hands-on involvement in the craft to uphold quality standards.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience leading Character Art teams through full development cycles.
• Portfolio of shipped games.
• Strong experience in mentoring artists and helping them take ownership of their craft.
• Effective communication skills for navigating challenges across different teams.
• Proven knowledge of game engines and understanding of how character art impacts gameplay.
• Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid setup in Valencia, Spain.
