What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance PHP/Laravel applications for VOD publishing and reporting.
• Build and implement middleware solutions to integrate internal systems with third-party platforms like YouTube.
• Collaborate with platform engineering teams to deploy robust workloads in AWS and private cloud environments.
• Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for system design and operations.
• Analyze functional requirements to translate business needs into reliable technical solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing high-traffic applications with PHP and Laravel.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, database design, performance tuning, and ETL processes.
• Experience with REST APIs and integrating third-party web services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, GitHub Actions, and containerization tools like Docker.
• Understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Vue/React.
• Must be based in Toronto or able to work from the Toronto office in a hybrid model.

Nice to have

• Experience with video publishing platforms or digital content distribution systems.
• Familiarity with AWS or cloud-based infrastructure.
• Exposure to BigQuery or high-availability application support.
