What you will do
- Manage a team to ensure accurate and timely month-end financial reporting.
- Maintain and enhance financial controls, policies, and procedures to support business scalability.
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to automate production elements of financial reporting.
- Review new products and contracts to assess accounting impacts and ensure correct treatment.
- Act as a key contact for the wider Finance team and support external audit processes.
- Translate complex financial information into simple insights for diverse stakeholders.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant with several years of experience in financial reporting or controlling.
- Experience in a retail banking environment is essential.
- Must be based in the UK for this role.
- Strong understanding of key financial controls and the regulatory landscape.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in SQL for data analysis.
- Experience with SAP S4/HANA.
