What you will do

• Manage a team to ensure accurate and timely month-end financial reporting.
• Maintain and enhance financial controls, policies, and procedures to support business scalability.
• Collaborate with engineering and data teams to automate production elements of financial reporting.
• Review new products and contracts to assess accounting impacts and ensure correct treatment.
• Act as a key contact for the wider Finance team and support external audit processes.
• Translate complex financial information into simple insights for diverse stakeholders.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with several years of experience in financial reporting or controlling.
• Experience in a retail banking environment is essential.
• Must be based in the UK for this role.
• Strong understanding of key financial controls and the regulatory landscape.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information.
