What you will do

• Provide technical expertise in soil spectroscopy, wet chemistry laboratory analysis, or soil fertility management.
• Support the development of calibration models for soil spectral libraries and capacity-building programs.
• Oversee soil sample processing and implement quality assurance measures for national soil laboratories.
• Collaborate with project partners to establish and improve laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
• Identify and promote locally adapted soil management practices and integrated soil fertility strategies.
• Contribute to project monitoring, reporting, and the development of national decision support systems.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in soil science, agriculture, or environmental sciences from an IAU/UNESCO recognized institution.
• 1 to 10+ years of relevant experience in sustainable soil management, laboratory analysis, or soil data.
• Working knowledge (Level C) of one of the official hirify.global languages.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver technical results within deadlines and work with Member countries.
• Understanding of hirify.global policies and UN policy agendas.
• Ability to travel for field missions as required.
