What you will do

• Manage the editorial process for original research papers, from initial selection to overseeing peer review.
• Make evidence-based editorial decisions on submitted manuscripts based on expert advice.
• Develop content and strategy for Nature Water and other journals within the Nature Portfolio.
• Commission and edit Reviews and write editorials.
• Collaborate with the international scientific community and other Nature Portfolio editors.
• Attend global conferences and visit research institutions to engage with scientists.

Requirements

• PhD (or equivalent) in a field related to water resources science.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Deep understanding of recent trends in hydrology, hydroclimatology, or related water sciences.
• Ability to assess the novelty, context, and implications of research across different disciplines.
• Willingness to travel and meet scientists worldwide.
