What you will do

• Categorize and reconcile bank and credit card transactions in QuickBooks Online.
• Clean up and organize the general ledger to ensure accuracy and proper classification.
• Prepare and deliver updated financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure all entries are structured and documented for tax preparation purposes.
• Apply US GAAP principles and US tax law knowledge throughout the engagement.
• Maintain organized, audit-ready records and flag inconsistencies for client review.

Requirements

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, including bank feeds and reporting.
• Solid knowledge of US tax laws and US GAAP.
• Experience producing financial statements independently.
• Availability to work Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Eastern Time.
• Ability to work remotely and manage deliverables without day-to-day supervision.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience with QuickBooks Online.
• Background in real estate or property accounting.
• Prior experience preparing books specifically for tax purposes.
