What you will do

• Build and lead a team of 6-8 engineers, focusing on career growth, performance, and removing blockers.
• Define and drive the technical vision and roadmap for multi-tenant distributed storage systems.
• Perform hands-on technical work, including architectural design reviews and PR reviews.
• Collaborate with other engineering leaders to ensure platform alignment and manage stakeholder expectations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience operating distributed systems.
• 2+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
• Deep technical expertise in Kubernetes, containerization, and modern IaC tooling (e.g., Terraform, Crossplane).
• Experience operating stateful storage or database systems at scale with knowledge of consistency and recovery trade-offs.
• Must be based in Cork for the hybrid working model.

Nice to have

• Experience leading major architectural shifts from legacy stacks to multi-tenant architectures.
• Experience managing and scaling infrastructure across multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Expertise in designing secure, multi-tenant runtime environments at scale.
