What you will do

• Design and maintain backend services using Python.
• Contribute to architecture for scaling payment and financial systems.
• Build cloud-native solutions using GCP services such as Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, and BigQuery.
• Resolve production issues and implement long-term system improvements.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to define and deliver solutions.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, observability, and development tooling.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and backend development fundamentals.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• Understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Must be based in the United States

Nice to have

• Experience with React, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Knowledge of gRPC, Redis, and SQL.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Experience with NewRelic or PagerDuty.
