What you will do
- Own the roadmap and operating model for Platform Engineering, setting division-level priorities and managing dependencies.
- Lead and coach a team of Software Engineering Managers across seven foundational teams.
- Establish engineering standards for framework conventions, reliability targets, and CI/CD health.
- Drive the AI-native platform strategy, focusing on agent orchestration and developer environments.
- Oversee division-level reliability, including SLO definitions and incident response frameworks.
- Partner with the CTO on organizational design, architectural decisions, and headcount planning.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in leadership.
- 2+ years of experience managing other managers across multiple teams.
- Technical expertise in distributed systems, backend/mobile frameworks, or reliability engineering.
- Proven track record at a growth-stage B2B SaaS company.
- Experience directing teams building on LLMs and agentic workflows.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with executive stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience in Testing Frameworks, Quality Engineering, or Developer Productivity.
- Experience scaling platforms through rapid growth (Series D+).
- Familiarity with CMMS, IoT, or industrial SaaS domains.
