What you will do

• Design, build, and operate global cloud networking systems including ingress/egress load balancing, DNS, CDN, and traffic management.
• Develop and automate detection and response systems to defend against DDoS and large-scale network threats.
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and automation frameworks to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems and networks in Linux-based environments.
• Collaborate with AWS and internal engineering teams to scale worldwide infrastructure and adopt new cloud technologies.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure the availability and resiliency of critical infrastructure.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card holder)
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering focusing on distributed systems, cloud-native applications, and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with cloud providers such as AWS or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DNSSEC, and related network protocols.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Ruby, Python, or C/C++.
• Extensive experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

Nice to have

• Domain expertise within the AWS ecosystem (NLB, VPC, IAM, S3, EC2).
• Experience operating large-scale, highly available production systems.
• Knowledge of DDoS detection/mitigation strategies and automation frameworks.
• Interest in cost optimization and operational efficiency at cloud scale.
