What you will do

• Troubleshoot and document interruptions on the production floor in a hands-on environment.
• Act as the initial escalation point for issues involving polishing, machining, coating, bonding, lithography, etching, and interferometry.
• Develop and implement short-term containments and structural solutions for production issues.
• Consult on product, process, and tool development to improve excellence metrics such as cycle time and labor hours.
• Collaborate with the Competency Production Engineering team to resolve structural procedural issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Optical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Imaging) or a B.S. in Physics or Chemistry.
• 0-1 years of experience in a high-tech production environment.
• Experience in optical fabrication or assembly processes.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, tolerancing, and specifications.
• Valid US work authorization without the need for employer sponsorship.
• Legal authorization to access controlled technology as defined in the US Export Administration Regulations.
