TL;DR

Location: Hybrid (US), average 2 days per week from an HPE office in Colorado, North Carolina, or Texas

Salary: $152,000 – $349,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of high-scale backend software systems.
• Analyze and update system logic and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• Collaborate with sales engineering and operational teams to recommend customer-centric solutions.
• Contribute to product roadmaps and ensure adherence to technical standards.
• Mentor junior team members and develop strategies to address operational engineering challenges.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience contributing to technology projects and delivering solutions at scale.
• Proficiency in Java, Groovy, Ruby, and/or Python.
• Expertise in core compute, storage, and networking principles.
• Experience with Linux environments, RESTful APIs, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of virtualization, ITSM, and CI/CD automation technologies.
• Must be based in or be able to work from an HPE office in the USA.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or CompTIA Security+.
