What you will do

• Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs using Java or Go to power the post-transaction customer experience.
• Own the reliability and performance of services by monitoring production systems and responding to incidents.
• Write clean, maintainable code with comprehensive test coverage and participate in code reviews.
• Partner with product managers, data scientists, and support operations to translate complex problems into scalable systems.
• Create technical specifications and participate in design reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers through pairing and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience building production backend systems.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Go, or similar languages.
• Experience designing and building distributed systems using AWS cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in software engineering best practices including testing, version control, CI/CD, and agile methodologies.
• Ability to translate emerging AI capabilities into practical, high-impact solutions.
• Based in Seattle, WA for hybrid work requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience in Payments or Fintech industry.
