What you will do

• Implement JSON-LD-based semantic models into production data systems and maintain knowledge graph structures.
• Design and operate embedding pipelines and vector database infrastructure for semantic search and similarity retrieval.
• Implement RAG architectures to ground LLM outputs in proprietary financial and regulatory data.
• Build reliable, observable data pipelines using DataOps practices to feed the semantic layer.
• Collaborate with ontologists and application teams to embed semantic models into APIs and data contracts.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in data engineering, focusing on semantic or AI data infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with cloud-native data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, Amazon Neptune) and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant).
• Practical experience implementing RAG architectures or LLM-integrated data pipelines.
• Familiarity with semantic web standards such as JSON-LD, RDF, OWL, or SKOS.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Background in financial services, RegTech, or compliance data.
• Exposure to domain-driven design (DDD) and bounded contexts.
• Experience working directly with ontologists or knowledge engineers.
• Familiarity with data contracts and data observability platforms.
