Senior Backend Data Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines and backend systems for operational and analytical workloads.
• Optimize data processing for speed, efficiency, fault tolerance, and integration with AI/ML workflows.
• Monitor and improve uptime, reliability, observability, data quality, consistency, and usability.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and data science teams to deliver features and AI-driven capabilities.
• Participate in on-call rotations with a service-oriented approach and fast responsiveness.
• Lead scalability efforts for increasing data volumes, AI/ML initiatives, and new product launches.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience with Python in backend or data engineering roles.
• Experience designing and operating large-scale data pipelines, backend services, and production data infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with production ML/AI-powered products and integrating data platforms with AI features.
• Familiarity with LLM and RAG technologies, including their deployment or integration.
• Experience with or knowledge of data processing, streaming, APIs, storage, cloud infrastructure, and Kubernetes technologies such as Apache Spark, DBT, Airflow, Kafka, FastAPI, AWS, and RDS.
• Strong understanding of performance optimization, high availability, scalability, reliability, data quality, governance, security, observability, and cross-functional collaboration.
