What you will do

• Design and build high-performance, secure, and well-documented APIs for AI-driven applications.
• Develop schemas and manage SQL, NoSQL, and Vector databases for optimal performance and scalability.
• Diagnose and optimize system bottlenecks to ensure high availability and low-latency across large-scale workloads.
• Leverage AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform to build and deploy production-grade systems.
• Collaborate with ML researchers and scientists to integrate data pipelines and infrastructure into scientific workflows.

Requirements

• 5-8+ years of engineering experience building and deploying large-scale backend systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, containerization, and CI/CD (GitHub Actions).
• Proficiency with Python and web frameworks/ORMs such as FastAPI, Django, and SQLAlchemy.
• Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow, Prefect, Temporal, or Dagster.
• Full-stack development experience with React, TypeScript, and Pydantic.
• Must use AI coding assistants to drive productivity.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with data science and ML libraries (pandas, numpy, scipy, jax, pytorch).
• Domain background in life sciences, material sciences, or laboratory software.
• Experience with laboratory devices, robotics, or hardware.
