Salary: £47,389 to £56,535

What you will do

• Develop and redraft learning materials for distance learning modules, including audio-visual and online resources.
• Manage the administration of modules in presentation, including assessment preparation and student support.
• Contribute to the design of curriculum, teaching, and assessment strategies.
• Engage with students through day schools, online lectures, and research student supervision.
• Brief and train Associate Lecturers.
• Conduct high-quality research and produce publications for REF submission.

Requirements

• Completed PhD in English Literature.
• Research specialism in literature of the Romantic period.
• Honours degree in English Literature or a related subject.
• Proven track record of successful research commensurate with career stage.
• Broad experience in undergraduate teaching.
• Ability to develop innovative distance-learning materials.

Nice to have

• Higher Education teaching qualification (e.g., PGCert, FHEA).
• Interdisciplinary approach to research and teaching.
• Experience teaching at the postgraduate level.
• Experience in securing external research income.
